Mrs. Emilie Hutchbottom of Tillyville escaped serious injury earlier this week when she was struck by a high-speed racing car. "Lucky for me I landed on my natural padding," Mrs. Hutchbottom remarked after the incident.

Unluckily, the two pies Mrs. Hutchbottom was carrying landed on Mrs. Hutchbottom and were ruined.

The racing car, belonging to Mr. Skinny McKinney, also of Tillyville, was totaled.

Future Factory to Open

Tillyville entrepreneur Chocolate Rat announced plans to open a new factory this fall at the site formerly occupied by Al's Ersatz Furniture Factory.

Asked by reporters whether the new business would specialize in indoor or outdoor furniture, Chocolate Rat replied that he wouldn't be manufacturing furniture at all. Asked what he would be manufacturing, all Mr. Rat said only, "I was given a sign. True, a few letters are missing. But not to worry, I'm very resourceful. One thing I do plan on making is money. They don't call me Mint Chocolate for nothing. But for a limited time you can call me Mint Chocolate for $3.95 plus tax."
